Family Escape Rooms
Many escape rooms will advertise themselves as something akin to a haunted house. Maybe a bit intense, scary, or physically challenging. But what if you’re looking for something that you can share with your kids, your coworkers, or even your grandmother?
Well, that’s where Clue Chase’s focus on family friendly escape rooms comes in.
Now, please don’t misconstrue this as us claiming our games are easy, or in some way simplified to appeal to kids, because they are not. All our games are designed with adult players in mind from the ground up. So while these are thematically appropriate spaces and themes to bring people of any age into, the puzzles themselves should present a fun and interesting challenge to players of all skill levels.
How is it good for both kids and adults?
Our dedicated staff of game masters are the secret sauce at Clue Chase. If you check our google reviews you’ll see them being mentioned by name time and time again. Our game masters are there to ensure you have a fun, fulfilling and appropriately challenging experience.
For groups of adults, we can let you choose to only receive help if you want it, or we can send you clues when we think you’re really, truly stuck – if that’s something you want. This lets the full logical challenge of all our puzzles shine through.
All of our games can be (and have been) completed without any input from our game masters. All our puzzles use logic that is entirely self-contained within the room.Of course, you do need to be pretty good at puzzles to achieve this.
For groups of kids, we’re more interested in keeping them engaged than necessarily “challenged”. So our game masters will employ tactics such as leading questions in order to help kids come to the correct solution for a puzzle, while feeling like they’ve largely arrived at this conclusion on their own.
They get to feel satisfied solving puzzles and exploring cool spaces, ideally without feeling like they’ve become stuck or frustrated.
We leave the feeling of being stuck for the adults. You’re all better equipped to handle it anyway.
Do you host birthday parties?
We sure do! We’re hosting at least one Birthday party every week, for folks ages 8-18, typically. Not that adults can’t celebrate a birthday at an escape room, and I’m sure many do. We’re just typically less aware of it. Kids’ birthdays get the planning and the cake!
This is one of the benefits of a family friendly escape room. It’s somewhere your teenage kids, your pre-teen kids, and the adults in your group can all come and have fun together, taking part in a shared activity! A rarity in this world, finding something that folks from all different age groups can come together on and agree is fun and actually, pretty cool.
So you’re not a haunted house, what else makes you a “family escape room” more so than say, some of your neighboring escape rooms in the city?
Not to get sappy with you – but family escape room for us extends beyond just having G-PG rated rooms. Our location is locally owned and operated by a father/son duo who founded the company out of a shared love of escape rooms. Our games are all built and designed entirely in-house. You will not find these escape rooms anywhere else in the world – we’re not a chain, not a franchise, and we didn’t purchase our game designs from someone online.
