What are Pop-Up Escape Rooms?

two players exploring the lost spy escape room

What are pop-up escape rooms? Pop-Up escape room games are a new offering from Clue Chase NYC. Our pop-up rooms elevate the concept of mobile escape rooms beyond the standard pen and paper gameplay often found with these portable setups. Instead, we feature the entirety of three of our classic Bryant park escape rooms, installed and operated at the location of your choice.

When you rent out one of these experiences you’ll be getting all the puzzles and major set-pieces from these escape rooms, brought to you, and custom assembled by our team at your venue. We can assemble these games in most any empty office space, and will work with you to coordinate the best setup to enable smooth gameplay, without getting in the way of your day-to-day business operations.

The escape rooms can be configured to allow for a variety of game sessions lengths, as short as 15 minutes or as long as one hour. This ensures that anyone on your staff can play, regardless of how much time they’re able to take out of their day for a game. These pop-up escape rooms can accommodate around 100 players a day, or thousands of players per week.

They are available for both short and long term arrangements, with flexible pricing depending on your team’s needs. Keep in mind this offering is mostly recommended for teams that are expecting a high volume of players during their rental period, otherwise we recommend taking advantage of our permanent escape room location at Herald Square or one of our virtual escape room offerings.

The pop-up escape rooms we offer are as follows:

The Lost Spy

Venture back in time to the headquarters of the CIA in the year 1963. Someone has targeted the building with a bomb threat, and everyone has been evacuated. You are a member of the bomb squad, called in to determine the source of the threat, and find and disarm the bomb, should such a thing actually exist. Featuring a trove of challenging logic and deduction puzzles, The Lost Spy is a premier escape room experience for any group looking for a challenge. The puzzles are tricky, and not recommended for the puzzle-faint-of-heart.

The Ultimate Heist

We’ve managed to pinpoint the location of the lair of a master thief known only as “The Fox”. We’ve managed to get you in, and now you have one hour to steal back as many of his ill-gotten goods as you can. Don’t get too distracted though – for while the pursuit of fabulous riches is fun, we still need to make sure we have secured our escape route before The Fox returns home. He’s unlikely to respond kindly to trespassers in his trove of treasures.

The Egyptian Tomb

Journey back to the 1800s, and the tomb of Queen Nefertiti. You are following in the footsteps of Napoleon, who brought a team of archaeologists with him to explore the ancient tombs. We believe Napoleon was here in pursuit of an alien artifact that he believed could grant him immortality and immense wealth. Unfortunately for Napoleon and his team, they triggered a trap which caused part of the tomb to collapse, and they fled. Enter the tomb, see if you can succeed where they failed, and watch out for traps. Wouldn’t want to end up locked away in the tomb for all eternity…
