Virtual Escape Rooms for Remote Teambuilding

2020 brought with it a host of new challenges for teams of all sizes. Many things that were taken for granted in the business world were made much more difficult, if not practically impossible – by the needs of social distancing. One of those items was team building, and in the face of daunting tasks like coordinating large scale team projects, that may not seem so important, but as we enter into 2021 and year two of the pandemic, maintaining team cohesion is becoming increasingly important. Teams that can’t get up to walk over to a neighboring desk to ask a quick question, or sit down to lunch with coworkers, or attend drinks after work – these small daily occurrences that used to be so prevalent throughout a workweek, risk becoming weaker and losing group cohesion.

Virtual escape rooms are an excellent way to help keep your team working and thinking together. Escape rooms help to foster communication and teamwork. Each team shares progress through every puzzle, so they’re constantly seeing the same thing as their teammates, and no one will be able to progress without coming to a mutual understanding of the solution with their teammates. Because our puzzles are designed to challenge thinkers of a wide variety, different people may find that they have more or less to contribute to individual puzzles as the game progresses, depending on where their personal strengths lie. This allows everyone to contribute, and feel the direct impact of their contribution being witnessed and appreciated by their teammates.

Our Virtual escape rooms are the best deal in virtual teambuilding. At only $15 per head (if you want your own personal game master, otherwise pricing is lower) our virtual escape rooms are one of the most affordable ways to get your entire team “together” to do something fun and unique. Our games make for an excellent break from the normal pace of your work day, and breaks in the routine are increasingly valuable to teams working from home. Being stuck inside your living room, home office, bedroom, kitchen – wherever it is remote work is getting done, can quickly becoming stifling and repetitive. Our games can even be a great surprise for your team – schedule a zoom meeting and don’t share any details with them prior to the start of the zoom call itself!

Virtual escape rooms can help to reinforce team bonds and friendships that may have fallen by the wayside with the lack of interpersonal contact. Seeing everyone’s faces in the call, and working together on something challenging, fun, and different from the day-to-day routine gets people laughing, chatting, and sharing stories as they play. It’s always good to be reminded of the human being at the other end of your screen, and sharing a game together is an excellent way to do just that.

We currently (as of 1/20/21) have one virtual escape room available to book, “The Scarab’s Curse” with another game “Mothership Over Manhattan” (Check out the art above!) coming in the next week or so. Both of these games feature an original story written exclusively for our online escape rooms, as well as entirely original puzzle sets, designed to promote the same problem solving and gameplay you would find in one of our physical escape rooms – but in your web browser.

Our online escape games are not just one of our employees walking through a room with a camera on their head while you give them instructions – these are brand-new, entirely custom built online games, designed from the ground-up for remote teams.

We hope you’ll give us a chance to entertain and challenge you with one of our virtual creations! And as always, we would love to hear your feedback after you’ve played! You can leave us a review on google, or get in touch with us via email at info@cluechase.com

Until next time,
