School Escape Room Trips
Planning field trips can be a challenge, with large and diverse classrooms finding an activity that will grab everyone’s attention may seem an insurmountable challenge. We think an escape room trip is the perfect choice for students of all ages – and we’ll cover a few of the reasons why here.
First, and most important for many kids – school escape rooms trips are fully hands-on. Your students will be the ones manipulating the environment in order to solve puzzles and progress forward. No taking notes and standing around looking at cool things they aren’t allowed to get within five feet of, instead they’ll be occupied every step of the way. Experimenting and exploring the world around them.
Second, escape rooms present opportunities for all different types of thinkers to demonstrate what makes them unique. Each student has an area they specifically excel in, and taking a linguistically gifted student to look at art, or a mechanically inclined student to look at art – just isn’t likely to grab their attention in the same way as something that appeals to their strength is. But finding an event that appeals to everyone’s unique strengths can be a challenge – unless that event is an escape the room game, as we design them from the ground up to give everyone a chance to shine.
Third, escape rooms are pretty cool. You might be thinking “why does that matter?” but getting kids to be enthused about their field trip is half the battle. Given the number of birthday parties and sweet sixteen groups we host, kids and teenagers really enjoy doing escape rooms with their friends on their own time, so getting the chance to do one with their classmates could be pretty special, and definitely exciting.
