New York is under siege, and it’s up to you to save it.
This contest will be open to anyone in the world, with teams up to six players in size. The winning team will be immortalized in Clue Chase lore – their winning completion time will be displayed here on our website, and they’ll be granted free access to our next online escape room game. (Coming Soon)!
Access codes for each team will be sent prior to the game’s start time – however in order to keep things fair during this first play through, there will be a special password required to begin the game itself, and that will not be sent out to teams until the 2PM start time on Saturday and Sunday.
Competition Spots Are $50 Per Team, Or $10 Per Player on a Five Person Team.

Story
New York City, 1993:
Humanity celebrated at the dawning of a new era in space exploration. Faster-than-lightspeed travel had been perfected, and the first samples of matter from a distant solar system had just been returned to earth for research. Tragically, the triumph was short-lived. Within hours of the samples arriving at a laboratory in NYC, an enormous alien spacecraft appeared in the air over Manhattan, sealing the city within a massive forcefield.
Now drones, which poured forth from the mothership, patrol the streets. The whirring of their fans like a nightmarish beehive – chasing anyone down foolish enough to venture above ground.
You are a survivor – sheltering in the Grand Central Station camp when you receive a mysterious message from a scientist…
F.A.Q
In Beta we’ve seen times averaging between 1-2 hours. Inexperienced players may take longer, but there is no time limit and the game can be paused and resumed at any time.
Teams can have up to six players, but you can also play through the entire game on your own. Teammates are not required.
This is an entirely digital escape room – that means all the environments and puzzles were built from scratch for online play, you control every step of the game, and you’ll never need to speak to a human unless you’re very stuck and call us for help. This is akin to something like Myst, a puzzle video game.
Entrance into the competition is $50 per team, or less than $10 per player if there are six of you.
There is no time limit for our online games. You can play for as long as you need, and you can even close your browser and return on a later day to finish your game if you need to. Your progress is saved and can be resumed at any time.
To reserve your spot you’ll need to click the above link, then select “See More Dates” on Mothership Over Manhattan. This will take you to a page with a calendar on the right-hand side. There you will be able to select the 13th or the 14th as your scheduled play time and proceed with booking.
